Mocca Fest 2013

Carousel horse is my favorite thing in the theme park! However, I seldom ride it now because I feel a little bit embarrassed since I am not a kid anymore...The original finish had no movement at all and after showing it to my Mum, she thought adding movement to the picture would be much better. Thus, this is how the final finish comes up. All kind of constructive suggestions are always welcome! 

Besides, I will have a table, share with my FIT alumni, Stephanie and JieYi at the Mocca Arts Festival 2013. I will post some photos of what I am going to sell later. I am very exciting about it!

Finally, I did a mermaid painting which I planned to do two years ago. My first time heard about the Mermaid story was from the Disney animation...the wicked octopus witch made me had a nightmare when I was a child. Then, when I was in high school, I found the original novel of the Mermaid, and then found out the story actually did not have a happy ending....SAD for the whole week. 

Anyways, hope you like this painting and I like the orange fish the most.

This is the new year card I did for 2013! In chinese culture, the blossom flowers would bring wealth and fortune, so the chinese are used to buy flowers in the beginning of the year.
